MY PHILOSOPHY
Sue is nationally certified, and licensed both in Illinois and Missouri. Each requiring continuing education, that benefits clients by keeping her up-to-date on the latest information and techniques. Over 250 hands on hours of continuing education, including Advanced Myofascial Release, Therapeutic Taping, Healing Touch, Acupressure, Craniosacral Release, Hot Stone, Reiki, and Eastern/Western Traditional Cupping, to name a few. She has been practicing for over 10 years and is a graduate of The Healing Arts Center in St. Louis, MO.
Her work background includes working at an Clark Animal Hospital in St. Louis for over 15 years, and has education including Massage Therapy for Canines, Healing Touch for Animals, and Treating the Four-Legged Client.
There are two main reasons she became a massage therapist. One, her body, she has had seven orthopedic surgeries, each requiring hours of physical therapy, not to mention the pain and stress that each brought about. It wasn't until she found a great massage therapist that understood what her body and "mind" had been put through, that she found relief and truly started to heal.
The second was her dog Charlie, who when he was very young; had surgery to correct his hip dysplasia. He had the same P.T. that she had years before. What she learned was how well he responded to touch, just as she did.
Sue’s practice deals mostly with chronic pain, injuries, and pre/post surgery clients, where she developed a custom massage program catering to their needs in a safe holistic environment. Her goal is to ease their pain while educating them how to improve their body mechanics and exercises that will help their lives.
“Each client deserves a program that is designed just for them. I am honored to help you reconnect body and mind with the freedom of movement and tranquility. I welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.”
